無垢の床材ショールーム♪ Flooring materials made of wild trees.

皆様こんにちわ。
Hello, all.

先週渋谷にあります、無垢の木材（フロア材）を専門に扱っているショールームにお邪魔してきました。
I had dropped by a show room where we can enjoy to see & touch many floor materials made of wild trees.

戸建や分譲マンションでは使用されている無垢の木ですが、賃貸物件ではあまりお目にかかりません。
Even we can sometimes see this kind of natural wood flooring in premises for sale, we hardly to see premises for lease where natural wood flooring is used in.

私自身、写真や文章だけですと、「良いものなんだろうなぁ」程度の発想で、絶対に欲しいという感じではありませんでした。
I just know that natural wood flooring is nice, but I haven't felt that I really want to use it until I experienced it.

ところが、最近、兄の家で無垢の床材を張ったという話を聞いて、体感してみたところ、衝撃！！
Then, I had a chance to experience it in an apartment owned by my brother.
''How incredible it is !!''

「なにこれ！」
夏の暑っ苦しいのに、床はサラサラとしてひんやり。
心地よい木の香り。
赤ちゃんの肌を触るような、気持ちの良い手触り。
It is cool & soft touch like baby's skin.
It smells really nice & can be realxed.

百聞は一見に如かず　→　百閒は一感（体感）に如かず、ということか・・・。
I didn't know that natural wood is so amazing.

ということで、自社が管理している賃貸物件に使ってみたいと思った今日この頃です。
Now, I've decided that I am going to use natural wood in some apartments for lease managed by our company.

ニューヨークに行ってきたよ♪ We visited Newyork !!

ニューヨークと言ったらこれ？
いぇいぇ、今回は観光目的ではありません。

日頃から良くして下さっている私どものお客様、鎌倉発祥、世界に誇る質を兼ね備えるメーカーズシャツ鎌倉株式会社様の、ニューヨーク第2号店のオープンセレモニーに行って参りました。

We've just visited Newyork for the opening ceremony held by Kamakura Shirts for their new retail store (2nd branch) planed to be opened at Brooksfield Place in Dec.

ここ分かりますか？
ロウワーマンハッタンに新しくできた大型施設（六本木ヒルズ的な）、ブルックスフィールドプレイスというとことです。
一流ブランドショップが多く出店しているビルディングに、ジャパンクォリティを発信し続けて下さる鎌倉シャツが肩を並べているだなんて、感慨深いです。
There are many famous brand-name-stores in the building. We proud of that Kamakura Shirts is now trying to advance into this kind of challenging market.

こちらは店舗前。
本来であれば本日プレオープンの予定でしたが、残念ながら工期に少々遅れが生じてしまったようです。
日本の借手市場とは反対に、ここでは貸手（オーナー）市場の色が強いことと、工事を行う職人が加盟している労働組合の影響が非常に大きく、なかなかプラン通りに進まないことは、今後海外出店を進めていくためには十分に考慮していく必要がありそうですね。
素敵な笑顔で正面に立つこちらの方。そう鎌倉シャツを率いる貞末会長です。
It is in front of the retail shop. The gentleman standing at the front is Mr. Yoshio Sadasue who is CEO of Kamakura shirts.

こちら（写真左側の女性）は、同じく鎌倉シャツを会長とともに率いる民子社長です。いつになってもおキレイで羨ましいです。
また、こちらのパーティには、IDEAL PURSUITという会社から招待されていた現地ビジネスマンの方がいらっしゃって、ありえないくらい格好良かった。
スーツ・シューズはBrioni製。自分の服にいくら投資しているのだろぅ、とふと思う。
それでも、スマートに鎌倉シャツを着こなしている。
遜色ない。
やはり鎌倉シャツは凄い。
リーズナブルなプライスなのに、どんな高級スーツにも相性が良い。
The lady on the left hand side of the picture is Mrs. Tamiko Sadasue who is the president of Kamakura shirt.
I also met a businessman who wore a business suit manufactured by Brioni & a shirt manufactured by Kamakura Shirts. When I saw him, I understood all shirts of Kamakura Shirts could be suit into any laxury business suits. What a good quality Kamakura shirts have even as their reasonable price range.

別日には、ウルフギャングというお店（日本にも出店していますよ）で、ディナーにご招待いただきました。
顔が広いとはまさにこのこと。
鎌倉シャツが来店することを知った、ウルフギャングのオーナー様がお店まで挨拶しに来てくださいました。
普段お目にかかれない多くの方と、この4日間ほどで、沢山会える。
非常に濃密で、貴重な機会を与えて下さった、会長、社長、並びにスタッフの皆様には感謝です！
Kamakura shirts also invited us for a dinner on another day.
We really enjoyed yummy meals at Wolfgans's steakhouse.We also glad to meet the owner of Wolfgangs's steakhouse. Thank you for giving us a great time there!!

帰国前日、店舗内を再見学しました。
予定では来月（12月）にはオープンできそうですね、とのことです。
天井が6m？近くありそうですので、迫力ある店舗になりそうです。
Just one day before leaving Newyouk, we visited the reatil store at Brooksfield place again. All interior works seemed to be completed around middle of Decmber.
It would be around 6 meters in height from floor to ceiling. We are looking forward that a beautiful & impressive store will be there soon !! 

あっという間に最終日、帰国まで21時間程（フライト＋バス）かかることは気が重いですが、普段できない体験を次々とさせて頂きました。
鎌倉シャツの皆様、本当にありがとうございました。
また、ニューヨーク、日本全店での今後の益々のご活躍を期待しております！！
It was a business trip of 4days-6nights. Even it was tough in a long flight, I really had a worthwhile experience in Newyourk.
I appreciate Kamakura shirts & my compnay to give me such a great opportunity.

4泊6日の弾丸ツアーでしたが、空き時間にはもちろん観光してきましたよ♪
ということで、ブリーフ旅行記です。
So, even it was a business trip, I enjoy a sightseeing too in a spare time, of course♪

こんな賃貸物件造ったら面白い。

とにかく斬新。

I bought heart-shaped ones with initial carving work in the middle for my mother in law & grand mother in law too.

天井高すぎ。

雰囲気が好き。

個人的に、こんなアパートに住みたい。

I prefer this kind of apartment.

Homey & warm atmosphere it had.

ハーレムにあるソウルフード店。

甘口の味付けで、日本人好み。

A restaurant in Harlem.

Japanese must like sweet flavor of Soul food.

アポロシアター。

行ったことはないけど有名ですね。

Wanna go apollo theater!!

ジャズバー。

Jazz bar in Harlem.

お酒と、生演奏を堪能。

Had a great time with comfortable Jazz music there!!

再度タイムズスクウェア。

ビッグモニターに映ってみた（笑）

Times square again.

I tried to be on a big monitor there. (lol)

日本に未進出のアンソロポロジー。

ニューヨークの20代～40代の女性に大人気。

服飾＋インテリア＋雑貨など多種多様の品揃えです。

Anthropologie was one of my favorite shops in Newyork.

I bought a cute shawl for my mother there.

 

その他にも、オーガニックフード中心のトレーダージョーズであったり、

セントラルパークウェスト（超高級住宅地）のダコタハウス、

世界三大美術館であるメトロポリタン美術館など。

見るべきものは沢山ありますね。

There were so many attractive shops, stores, and so on such as Trader Joe's, a luxury residential district besides Central park, and Metropolitan museum of Art.

Though I couldn't drop by all spots that I was intereseted in, I will try to visit rest of them next time.

中目黒のショールームに行ってみた。 I visited a showroom of custome-home in Nakameguro, Tokyo.

今日は、モダンでナチュラルテイストの戸建を建築している、キーノートさんのショールームにお邪魔してきました。
Hello, all.
Today, I'd like to report how the showroom of custom-home builder in Nakameguro looked like. The name of the company is ''Keynote Co., Ltd''. They build various types of houses combined modern & natural atmospheres.

まずは入口。
数年前に南麻布で開発した戸建街区の模型がお出迎え。クールな印象の受付スペースです。
I am waiting a person in charge for viewing at the front reception.The atmosphere of the reception is so cool.

早速ショールーム内を探索。
木目調の玄関ドアを見つけました。温かみがあります。
お色は10種類以上セレクトがあったと思います。

Through viewing inside of a showroom, I saw a wooden entrance door. Customers can choose favorite one in more that 10 different colors selection for one door.

 

キッチンは、メーカーと家具屋さんのコラボで作成されたオリジナル商品がありました。使い勝手とデザインが洗練されています。
The kitchen is made in collaboration between the manufacturer & the furniture shop.
Good design & practical.

階段の両脇を支える「ささら」という部分を失くした、スリット階段。
埃が溜まりずらくお掃除楽ちんで、すっきしとした印象です。

Parts of stairs called ''Sasala'' that support the weight aren't needed of the house since it keeps enoght strength by itself.
It is a simple design and let the daily cleaning of stairs easier.

 

洗面台はオリジナル商品。間接照明下にあるガラスタイルが綺麗に輝いてます。
浴室の水栓はドイツのグローエ製。
The washstand is unique to Keynote Co., Ltd. Glassed tiles in front are glittered beautifully under indirect lightings.
The water faucet of the bathroom is manufactured by GROHE in Germany.

ドアの取っ手なども複数の種類から好みの品を選べます。写真はステンレスカラーですが、黒のアンティーク調の素材もあるそうです♪
Customers can choose favorite ones for door handles in various types of selection.

勉強のために見学会に参加させて頂いたのですが、思いのほか楽しんでしまいました。
実際に、今からお家を建てるお客様にとっては、さらに楽しい時間となることでしょうね！
そうそう。キッズルームがあり、担当のスタッフの方が一緒に遊んでくれますので、じっくりと家について相談できることも魅力ですね。
If you are accompanied with small children when you come to the  showroom, don't worry about it since a lady can play with your children while you talk about a house with a person in charge.

こんな名刺創ってみた！ A Business card

名刺。
たかが名刺？
されど名刺！
Are business cards are important in our business?
Yes, they must be!!

サラリーマン時代は何も思わなかったけれど、自分のビジネスのことを熟考し、今後のやりたいことを考えると、やはりイメージは大切だなと。
今は不動産業界に携わっているので、自分が紹介している段階から、お客様が未来の住宅で、幸せにそして温かい生活をお過ごししているシーンを確実にイメージできるお手伝いをさせて頂くことが非常に大切な任務であると考えています。
Business cards are not only for introduction of our name & firm name but also inspire our client our brand image.

そこで「温かい」（ぬるいではなく、あたたかい！）をイメージできるような名刺を試しに刷ってみました。
Then, I tried to make a few new business cards as trial model.

何だか良く分かりませんが、取り敢えず温かいイメージをお客様に与えられるよう作成してみました。
本当はもっと畑っぽい、地球の「土」の質感を感じられる素材を期待していましたが、実物は何だか段ボールっぽい！？

まだ試作品の段階ですが、運よくご縁をいただいたお客様に対して、自分がその方にどれだけの価値を与えられるのか、明確にイメージを持っていただけるよう、今後も最適な名刺創りには取り組んでいきたいと思います！

余談ですが、添付写真、名刺の後ろにあるショルダーバック、先週通勤用鞄として購入しました。

財布、スマホ、書籍、ハンカチ、靴ベラ、鍵など、小物がすっぽり入って、中もいくつもポケットがあるので、使いやすい！

By the way, I bought a sholder bag for daily commuting to our office.
(Please look at attached picture. The bag is behind business cards.)
I can put a wallet, mobile phone, handkerchief, key case, and petit shoehorn. And there are many pockets inside that is very practical to pull them together.
I bought it at ''Tsuchiya bag Co., Ltd''. Bags they have are bit expensive, however, I can say that the quality is pretty great.
I will use it for further 10 years!!

足元を見られる！
お恥ずかしい話ながら、最近になって、ようやく実感してきました。
To take care of shoes is one of most important things for me in my daily life.

仕事柄、沢山の人にお会いさせて頂くのですが、いわゆる【出来る人】と
言われる方の共通点として、靴が「ピッカピカ！」
決して新しいわけでなく、何年も履かられている靴なんでしょうが、何せ
綺麗。
重厚感があり、アンティーク感があり、何とも言えないオーラが足元から
出ている・・・。
I meet many presidents, CEOs, business managers in my business.
I've noticed that shoes of such high-ranked people are well-cared for everyday.
Once I see their shoes, I assume that he or she is a great businessman(woman).

ここに至るまでは、毎日、毎日、
靴の誇りをブラッシングして、クリーナーで汚れを落として、靴クリーム
塗って、磨き上げて、って地味な作業を絶対に欠かしていないんだと推測。
Since I think that they spend much time to take care of their shoes everyday.
(brushing, removing dirts, putting cream on, shining up shoes, and more.)

何を言いたいかって、やはりそういう方って、
モノを大事にするし、　（→　結果長持ちするので経済的）
根気強いし、　（→　ビジネスでは必須）　
こだわりがあるので、　（→　細かいとこまで目が届いている）
仕事が上手で、人間力が高い。
What I'd like to say is that those who take care of their shoes well are
mostly respectful, good maneywise, having patience, and a person of high caliber.
That above mentinoed can be said along my exparience.


単に靴が綺麗にするだけで、お金持ちになれる訳ではありませんが、
お客様にとっては、汚い営業より、綺麗な営業に対応された方が気持ち
良いし、自分にとっても、いつも以上に仕事へのスイッチが入る。
We cannot be rich soon by taking care of our shoes, however, our clinets
shoud be happy when they see our clean shoes, and cared-shoes give us
much more motivation into our business.


そんなこんなで、今日からは、「毎日欠かさず」やろうと決意した私です。
So, I really decided not to miss taking care of my shoes every day from now on.


やっと本題。
Finally, main part of this topic!!

そうは言っても、毎日のことなので、楽しくなければ続かない。
But, I need something fun to take care of my shoes every day.

そこで、自宅の玄関脇に、チェリー材で作成した無垢の靴ベラを装備！
（こちらは商品化されているものではないのですが、ネットサーフィンを
している最中に、ふと見かけたモノで、（→　一目惚れ）長野在住のデザイ
ナーズ兼家具職人さんにコンタクトしてみたところ、なんとラッキーにも
譲ってくれることになりました！（もちろんいくらかは払いましたよ））
Then, I put a ''pretty cute shoehorn'' on a wall of the entrance hall in my house.
The shoehorn was made of real wood, it smell so nice, feels nice, and makes me
so relaxed.

この子（靴ベラ）を見ながら、毎日靴のお手入れをする
大事にケアーした靴を、この子でシュッと履いて、仕事に出掛けることを
連想。
何故だかニンマリ。
（知らない人が見たら変態っぽい）
I imagine a scene when I use this cuty shoehorn for a well-cared shoes before
I go for work.
I don't know why I almost smirk when I just think of that.

全然大したことではないのですが、私にとっては、一日の始まりの瞬間を
彩ってくれるナイスなアイテムです♪
Though it's not a great item, it's important for me to color my daily life.
